Aegis grew up on the Steppe learning to read books bought from passing travelers. This unlocked an insatiable thirst for knowledge within her. She then left for new horizons, always searching to learn more about the world.

Her journey took her to the farthest reaches of the universe, through time and space, parallel worlds, and yet her thirst can never be quenched.

​

She experienced many losses during her journey. Two failed marriages, and countless friends and loved ones dying as she failed to protect them. Pushing her further away from her scholarly pursuits in favor of raw power.

​

In the process of saving the world countless times, hidden memories of past lives were revealed to her. Most importantly, her love for Emet-Selch. Unfortunately, this came a little too late as she failed to save him. Completely distraught, she became more reckless in her pursuit of knowledge. Going even so far as to bond herself to a voidsent.

When all hope seemed lost, she found love once again. Not with just one this time, but three. Aegis was able to remarry, settle down, and finally pursue her true dream of becoming a professor. Not only would she learn, but now she could help others learn as well.

She later would give birth to two beautiful daughters, Rose and Ivy. Rose taking after her studious nature, while Ivy took after her wanderous nature.
